Flying Scot sails are usually Sunday afternoons form noon-2pm, although if the wind is good we have sometimes gone back out again until 4pm. The boats are rented out of Belle Haven marina and can accomodate up to 5 people. Usually this is the first sail we recommend for beginners, since its only 2 hours and no prior experience is needed.

Crewing on member's boats. Those of us who own boats will send out emails to the membership looking for crew. These are often longer daysails and can be anytime during the weekend, or on weeknights, depending on the weather. Some sailing experience is typically asked for.

Cruises. If enough folks are interested we can plan a longer cruise on the Chesapeake Bay, for a weekend or longer.  A skipper with qualifications (such as ASA 103) on a large keelboat is needed to charter the boat unless a captain is hired. Some members have also gone on the "Gay Armada" cruise in the Virgin Islands during the winter.
